Comments (Shloka 1-12) :
- Natal chart is the basic chart so obviously it is the most important chart. But while interpreting a particular house – the position of its lord should be examined in the divisional charts too. For instance in respect to the 7th house, the position of the 7th lord in the navamsha chart and the position of the 7th lord of navamsha in the rashi chart is equally important. Similarly all should be systematically interpreted.
- Lagna or the 1st house is the most important house. Special attention should be given to the lagna and the lagna lord. Position of lagna lord in all the divisional charts, benefic and malefic influences on it should be carefully noted. Similarly the position oE”navamsha and drekkana lagna lord in the natal chart and as well in other divisional charts should also be given equal importance.
- Position of each planet, its exaltation, debilitation, its being in mooltrikona, friendly, inimical sign is again a very important factor. Even if a planet is exalted in the natal chart, but in divisional charts it gets debilitated or afflicted, its power of giving benefic results would be reduced, on the contrary if a planet gets exalted or become vargottama (which- means that it occupies the same sign in navamsha too), its power of giving benefic results would certainly enhance.
- If a planet, which does not own 6th, 8th or 12th houses and preferably owns a kendra or trikona house in the natal chart, remains unafflicted in divisional charts too, it can make the native like a king in its dasha.
- If a debilitated planet gets debilitated in navamsha too it would not give bad results, since it has now become Vargottama too.
- In Mahadasha or major period of an exalted, benefic or vargottama planet which does not own 6th, 8th or 12th houses, the sub or sub-sub period of a malefic planet would not be adverse. Similarly in the major period of a malefic planet, the sub or sub-sub period of a benefic or exalted planet may not be very good.
- The good or bad results mentioned as per the exalted, debilitated, benefic/malefic position of planets in divisional charts- mostly manifest during their dasha.
- For malefic planets there is a very important hint here. If a malefic planet occupies the sign of navamsha lagna lord or joins navamsha lagna lord in a friendly sign in the navamsha chart, it would not give adverse results during its dasha. On the contrary if it joins a malefic planet in a inimical sign in divisional charts it would become maraka during its dasha.
