Varalakshmi Puja is celebrated on the Second Friday or the Friday before the day of the full moon in the month of Shravana. This year it is on Friday 9th August 2019.
Varalakshmi is a form of Lakshmi and she is the one who grants boons and fulfills ones wishes. It is believed that worshiping the Goddess Varalakshmi on this day is equivalent to worshiping the Ashtalakshmis – the eight goddesses of Wealth … Dhana Lakshmi for wealth , Vidya Lakshmi for knowledge, Santana Lakshmi for children, Vijaya Lakshmi for victory in undertakings & court cases, Dhanya Lakshmi for grains and Soubhagya Lakshmi for marriage and happy married life.

Lakshmi Sri Sookta Homam : 4 pundits perform the pooja and recite 10000 times Lakshmi Namavali and Sri Sooktam and perform homam for 1/10 the number of recitals. Lotus flower dipped in honey is offered in the homam. It is a very powerful pooja for all round prosperity.

This is an elaborate major Homam. After the traditional Ganesha Pooja and Kalasha Pooja, The Navagrah Homam and the Dasa Dikpalaka homam are performed. Then 1008 times recitals of Lakshmi Moola Mantra and Kubera Moola Mantra and Homa are performed. It will be done exclusively in your name with your specific sankalpa (wish).
