The mythology goes that Lord Brahma for performing a Yagnya in Pushkar has taken Maa Gayatri as his wife as Maa Saraswati got delayed in her shringar. So, Maa Saraswati cursed Lord Brahma will not have any other temple of worship other than Pushkar and went to her mother’s place on top of this hill and stayed with her.
