The Kalighat Kali Shaktipeetha, also known as Kalibari temple, one of the 51 great Shaktipeethas. It is one of the most famous Shakti temples of India. According to the Devi Bhagavata Purana and Kalika Purana the toes of the right foot of Goddess Sati fell here.
