King Ramkishan built 11 temples between the 17th and 18th centuries. Bhabanipur Shakti Peeth is vast and spread over an area of about five acres. Now a large part of it is being illegally occupied by miscreants.
According to legend it is said that Maharaja Ramkrishna, the grandson of the King of Nator, liked to meditate close to this temple. The chair, the yagna kunda, and the five skulls they were renowned for worshipping are still there.
Another famous legend is that a poor conch shell bangle merchant once saw a young girl asking for conch shell bangles near the temple. That girl asked the bangle seller or bangle seller to go to Rajbari to sell the bangles. When Rani Bhavani came to know about the incident there was no young lady in the royal family, so she personally went to the place. Then the lady selling the bracelets realized that she was none other than Goddess Bhavani and prayed to appear to her. Eventually the goddess came out of the pond water, her arms laden with conch shell bangles and blessed everyone.
