Two and a half foot long ancient Sri Lakshmi Conch

This 30" long gold plated Dakshinavarti Shankha is about 800 years old. It belongs to a Vedic Brahmin family of Tanjore for nearly 15 generations. They were the state preasts of the Maharaja of Tanjore. The gold plating is about 500 years old.

This silver plated beauty is reported to be 90 years old.
