Amavasya dates in 2025
Amavasya or new Moon day is the 15th lunar phase of the dark half of the Hindu calendar. Many people observe fast or do pooja/Sadhana on Amavasya day. It is one of the favorite days of Devi so a great day to worship HER.. It Amavasya falling on Monday is known as Somvati Amavasya and Amavasya falling on Saturday is known as Shani Amavasya.
Amavasya days are not good for performing any auspicious work but it is a very good day for Puja, Mantra Japa and to perform the Shraddha rituals for ancestors. Amavasya is also suitable for fighting your enemy.
