Astrology is a Vedic science given by the ancient seers of India to help mankind. Our Rishis, blessed with divine wisdom, did not write the voluminous Astrology texts as some some kind of a “time-pass past time”. They had a specific use and purpose and which cannot be written off. A lot of the modern scientists do not accept astrology as a science. Some of the pseudo westernised Indians are worse still. But it is a known fact that planets do have their effects on us.

The modern scientists took their time to learn about some of the effects of the Sun’s rays. First they learned and accepted about the simple Sun-tan, then they discovered the Photosynthesis, Ultraviolet rays and Gamma rays of the planets.

The doctors and nurses of almost all mental asylums accept the fact that during the full moon and the new Moon periods the mental patients behave erratically. The police record the same effects on many criminals. These effects are explained away as “effect of the magnetic rays of the moon”. But you if you ask them to specify, quantify and explain why these affect some and don’t affect the others, there is no answer!

The scientists tell us that on the Full Moon Day (Poornima), when the Moon comes just a bit closer to our earth, its magnetic pull is so powerful that, the entire sea water, which is 70% of our earth, raises by more than 10 feet causing High Tide. Mind you, moon is the smallest of the planets in our Solar System. So what are the other effects of the Moon’s powers and what are the other effects of the much much bigger planets?

Many famous Indian astrologers like Dr.B.V.Raman and Sri K.N.Rao have accurately predicted the fall of governments, death of leaders, and many natural disasters. An astrologer of Gujarat accurately predicted the devastating Gujarat earth quake well in advance. No one in the government or the seismographic department bothered to do anything about it. The earth quake occurred on the exact day and caused terrible disaster – one of the worst in Indian history killing thousands of people and the damage to property was in several thousands of Crores of Rupees. A couple of days after the quake, the same astrologer again forecasted the coming of another quake in a few days time. The police arrested him for causing panic among the people! The second quake occurred bang on the predicted day. The astrologer was released only when the whole public went and hooted and booed the police!! And yet, the research minded scientists don’t bother to do any research about these predictions, but are ever ready to appear on the TV to denounce astrology.

Unfortunately they don’t have the divine wisdom of our ancients to know all the effects fully. They definitely need more time to understand and prove the planetary influences as proclaimed by our ancient Rishis.
